Pav is awarded the 2023-2024 UCLA Dissertation Fellowship Application

Pav won the 2023 AAPM SCC Norm Baily Award

This is the second time she won the award for her excellent work in proton optimization.

Qihui won first place in 2022 AAPM Young Investigator Competition

Ten highest scored AAPM abstracts were selected from ~400 abstracts for the annual competition. Qihui's presentation on pair production tomography won first place in the most important annual competition for trainees. Congratulations to Qihui. 

Pav presented at the best of therapy physics symposium in 2022 AAPM

Pav's presentation on simultaneous dose and dose rate optimization for proton FLASH radiotherapy was one of the best therapy physics abstracts selected for the special symposium.

Qihui and Pav won the first place in Norm Baily

On top of winning first place Norm Baily in both graduate student and postgraduate categories, Pav won the SLAM competition and will participate in the national competition in July 2022 at the AAPM annual conference. Congratulations. 

Elizabeth passed Ph.D. thesis defense

Elizabeth successfully defended her thesis on 10/26/2021. Her thesis title is "A Neural Network Approach To Deformable Image Registration". She will be joining Cedars Sinai as Assistant Professor. Congratulations Dr. McKenzie!
